Thank you very much for the honor of serving in the State House of Representatives, District 14, which spans from Wailua to Haena, Kaua`i. I feel very privileged to serve a diverse community in the most beautiful district in the State of Hawai`i.
I’m excited about running for office because I truly enjoy the work and believe that I’m making a difference. I’m most proud of the work that we did on the north shore of Kaua`i that is a model for addressing over-tourism in Hawai`i. I’m also pleased with the progress in creating a master plan for the Mahelona Medical Center campus that will, over time, address important needs on our island, including assisted living and affordable housing. Last, but not least, major Kuhio Highway improvement projects through Wailua-Kapa`a are planned, funded, and/or underway to address traffic congestion.
We’re living through a coronavirus pandemic that has challenged us all. Layered with the pattern of police brutality, peaceful demonstrations, and rioting, the future seems overwhelming. It’s during this difficult time that strong leadership at all levels of government is needed. I look forward to the challenges ahead and ask for your continued support in the upcoming election. I hope we can convert these challenges into opportunities to build a more sustainable and resilient Kaua`i and State of Hawai`i
